Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative will be doing maintenance work at the Oregon Inlet substation tomorrow morning, Thursday, April 16th. There is a potential for power outages tomorrow morning on Hatteras Island and Ocracoke Island starting around 8-9 am and lasting for several hours. Tideland Electric Membership Corporation will try to use the generator during that time, but as always the electric demand must remain low enough and not exceed the capacity of the generators.
