21skillsHyde County Schools is seeking an individual to lead the 21st Century program, a federally funded after-school service at Ocracoke School.

The Ocracoke site coordinator position is a part time, 10-month job at the Ocracoke School Campus, Monday through Thursday from 2 to 6 p.m. during months of program operation.
Responsibilities: The 21st CCLC site coordinator develops the schedule of student activities and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Ocracoke School campus after-school and summer programs in compliance with all federal grant guidelines.

The successful candidate works with family, school, and community partnerships to ensure ongoing programs support; coordinates and implements continuing staff development opportunities; attends state wide NC DPI after-school program meetings with the director of student services; and recruits community mentors to serve in the classroom.

The Ocracoke site coordinator is also responsible for maintaining federally mandated 21st CCLC program data collection at Ocracoke School for the national program evaluation effort.
Qualifications: Master’s degree preferred but will accept bachelor’s degree commensurate with education and experience; strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of the community; and management experience.
