Out with the old and in with the new-but-used.

That’s what you get at the Friends of the Library’s annual used book sale on the Ocracoke Community Library porch, 225 Back Rd., starting Tuesday, July 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friends of the Library (FOL) members will have first crack at the trove of used books—fiction, non-fiction, magazines, children’s books and more–when doors open at 8:30 a.m.

Those who are not FOL members may join at the door for the price of $5 for individuals or $10 for families.

The sale benefits the library, which still is accepting donations of good, used books.

The sale will continue during public library hours through mid-August.

Public hours are 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until 8 p.m. Wednesdays, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
