The Weather Forecast Office out of Newport/Moorehead City is reporting that deep moisture coupled with upper level low pressure, and a stalled front will lead to a very wet week across eastern North Carolina, with as much as 6 inches of rainfall possible from tonight through Thursday
A flash flood watch may be issued later tonight for portions of our area. 
At least here is some good news: the National Hurricane Center is reporting no tropical cyclone activity in the Atlantic Ocean.
