The Ocracoke Strong Kitchen will serve lunch– pasta with meat sauce/ marinara and a garden salad with Jason’s ranch. Come at 11:15 to be sure to get some as they will be sharing with the Beaufort/Hyde partnership, who will be here with some technology-type gifts. They will have a wrapping station available as well. Last day for Teresa Adams, Hyde County liaison to Ocracoke, to assist islanders with all manner of hurricane disaster relief from 9 to 5 in the Life Saving Church. After that, her number for appointments or questions is 252-921-0053.
Tuesday, Dec. 17
State Individual Assistance will be at the Life Saving Church to help with and answer any questions on IA application processing. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ocracoke post-Dorian support group will meet at Ocracoke Lightship Realty. 49 Lighthouse Rd. 4:30 p.m. (No meeting Dec. 24; will resume after Christmas.)
Wednesday, Dec. 18

Christmas caroling with the Ocracoke Life Saving and United Methodist churches. Meet at 5 p.m. at the Methodist Church. A chili dinner will follow also at the Methodist Church.
