Insurance adjuster to meet with island business owners on Sunday

The Ocracoke Civic & Business Association is hosting Rob Izzo, a pubic insurance adjuster from Southern Loss Consultants in Raleigh, in two free sessions on Sunday (Aug. 20).

Izzo discuss options that business owners and rental property owners may have resulting from the blackout caused by PCL Construction damaging the main electric lines to the island July 27 to Aug. 4.

Izzo will meet with any and all island businesses in two town-hall sessions: from 9 to 9:45 a.m. and from 1 to 1:45 p.m., both followed by a Q & A.
The OCBA is presenting this speaker so that all can seek information and answers from as many sources as possible.

Izzo is a UNC Chapel Hill graduate, has studied insurance and finance and has had his business, Southern Loss Consultants, for 25 years. Growing up, his family had a business in Nags Head and he feels a strong connection to the OBX.

He is not an attorney but is providing insurance advice and loss determination and calculation advice based on 28 years of experience and 10,000+ claims he has been associated with.

All attendees are asked to bring along their insurance policies on which to make notes and ask questions after his talk.
Discussions points will include:

Should anyone desire to retain Southern Loss Consultants to assist them with their individual claim, fees can be discussed at that time.
