Hyde County Department of Social Services is looking for people interested in becoming licensed foster parents.
With the growing number of children entering foster care in our county, the county greatly needs licensed foster homes, said Laurie Potter, DSS director.
“The children of Hyde County should have the option to stay within their county but with limited homes available they are being placed in other counties,” she said.
Foster parents receive monthly compensation and are required to take a 30-hour class.
