After an almost two-year hiatus, the Island-wide Yard Sale will be held this year on Sept. 18.

Ocracoke is an island where folks think they can find the purported treasure of Blackbeard, but island homes and businesses will unveil their own treasures for all to peruse and plunder on Saturday, Sept. 18, during the Ocracoke Island-Wide Yard Sale.

Sponsored by the Ocracoke Civic & Business Association (OCBA), the event is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and businesses and residents will showcase their “treasures-to-you” at the times of their choosing so that shoppers continue to visit the locations throughout the day.

The event is free to participate in and to attend.

Hard copy entry forms will be available at the Ocracoke post office and can be dropped off at Helio’s Hideaway.
Maps of participating yard sale locations will be available at the Ocracoke Variety Store and post office. The deadline to be included on the map is Sept. 6.
