The North Carolina Ferry’s reservation system will be temporarily unavailable for system maintenance on Sunday, Sept. 10, starting at 5 a.m.

New reservations and commuter pass purchases/renewals will not be available during this time.

The system is expected to be back online by late Sunday afternoon.

All fares will be cash-only, commuter pass, or by advanced reservation.

If you have previously made a reservation, please have your confirmation number available when boarding the ferry.

Ferry reservations are strongly recommended for the Ocracoke-Swan Quarter and Ocracoke-Cedar Island routes.

The free Hatteras-Ocracoke vehicular ferry does not require reservations.

To make an online reservation before Sunday, and for more information on current schedules, visit https://www.ncdot.gov/travel-maps/ferry-tickets-services/Pages/reservations.aspx.
