Since Hurricane Dorian struck on Sept. 6, 2019, Ocracoke Island has been rebuilding after the devastating flooding. In addition, most events have been canceled or held online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Roanoke Island Animal Clinic visits Ocracoke on the second Wednesday of every month at the Community Center.  Appointments required. Call 252-473-3117. Check RIAC Facebook page on clinic day for travel delays.

MOVEMENT

YOGA
Ocracoke Island Yoga Studio, 37 Back Rd.
Virtual on Zoom and occasional pop-up classes at the beach, not on a regular schedule.

All classes: $17 for visitors. Loaner mats available first-come, first-served. As of Dec. 17, Ocracoke Island Yoga will go to virtual only classes via the Zoom app. They will resume in-person classes as soon as they feel safe enough to do so. See Facebook under ocracokeyoga. 919-696-7179.

Ocracoke Interfaith Relief & Recovery Team will host virtual public meeting at 6 p.m. April 20 to update the community on post-Dorian recovery efforts. On the OIRRT Facebook page.
