North Carolina Sea Grant and the Eastern Carolina Council are seeking input on abandoned and derelict vessels in your community’s waters.
Sea Grant is asking interested persons to complete an online survey.
The information from the public will help quantify the extent and magnitude of the challenges North Carolina faces with managing these types of debris.
Results of the survey will be shared at an inter-agency stakeholder meeting later this year in collaboration with North Carolina Sea Grant. The focus of that meeting will be to identify specific avenues and actions for improving management of abandoned and derelict vessels. Click here for the survey link. The survey will be open until Sept. 4.
For questions or additional information, please contact ECC Executive Director Judy Hills, jhills@eccog.org, or call 252-638-3185.
