Tuesday, Dec. 1 & Friday, Dec. 4: Ocracoke School athletics home basketball games in the school gym. The new junior varsity team will play at 4 p.m. followed by the Lady Dolphins, and then the boys’ varsity team. Both are broadcast on WOVV 90.1 FM.

   Ocracoke Preservation Society Historic Homes Open House; 3 to 5 p.m. (please note this is NOT a tour as in the past). The Emma & Simon O’Neal house, 458 Lighthouse Rd., and the Felig House (circa 1950s), 107 Live Oak Rd., are included in the open house.
