Open Source LogoThe Small Business Center of Beaufort Community College and Ocracoke Open Source will sponsor a two-part seminar, Business Marketing for Creative Entrepreneurs, April 12 and 13.

These small-group work sessions will cover a range of topics to help attendees improve their marketing skills. Each session will be limited to eight participants

Some of the topics up for consideration will include pricing for profitability, designing effective marketing materials, managing consignment relationships, using online sales venues, and effective use of social media. An emphasis will be on building a year-round income stream.

Jean Skipper, who specializes in art marketing and is a former owner of an art gallery, will teach.

Both are day-long sessions.

The first will be held in the Magic Bean Coffee Bazaar, 35 School Rd.   Part 2 on Thursday will be in the Ocracoke Community Center and includes a lunch.

The price for one or both is $35.
