RODANTHE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27, to present a proposed design modification on the southern end of the ‘jug handle’ bridge over Pamlico Sound between N.C. 12 in the Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge and Rodanthe.

The meeting will be held in the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Center, 23186 Myrna Peters Rd., Rodanthe.

NCDOT and representatives from the design-build team will present a map of the proposed modification, answer questions and receive comments.

Comments will be accepted through Wednesday, May 11. No formal presentation will be made.

Maps displaying the location and design of the proposed modification are available for public review on the project website as well as the NCDOT Public Meetings website.
