The Hyde County Solid Waste Department will conduct chipping service for Ocracoke on Wednesday, Oct. 4, and Thursday, Oct. 5.

The county has requested that residents pile debris at the roadside with branch ends facing the road.  County employees with the chipper will travel around the island to do this work.
