The Hyde County Historical & Genealogical Society plans to hold its spring meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 20, in the historic Fairfield United Methodist Church in Fairfield.  

The meeting begins will feature a speaker, Alex Christopher Meekins, an archivist with Archives and History in Raleigh, a division of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

The HCH&GS does not have an office, a website or telephone number, but they do have a Facebook page here.

The organization depend on volunteers (working from their homes) to keep the day-to-day activities going.

Meetings are held in the spring and fall of each year in various sections of the county.
