Two island authors will be special guests of the Friends of the Library annual meeting at 6 p.m. in the Ocracoke Community Library, 225 Back Road.
Award-winning author Pat Garber has published her first book of poetry, “View from the Back of a Whale,” and will read selections from it. Marcy Brenner, who is one half of Coyote, the music duo who own Coyote Music Den in Community Square, will read excerpts from her to-be-published book, “A Baker’s Daughter: Recipes and Memories.” Brenner’s family was renowned for its bakery in Alexandria, Virginia.
