Equity Advisory Council Meeting, 6:30-8pm Community Center. Hyde County Health Director Luana Gibbs explained that during the COVID-19 epidemic, marginalized populations have not been getting access to care, not getting tested and not getting vaccines like they should. Money came to help health departments to provide training to our staff on how to be equitable in our health care. This council will brainstorm ways that we’re all sensitive to one another, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation, she said.
