Joyce Tuttle Gordon, 89, died peacefully in her home in Mocksville, Davie County, on Feb. 1, surrounded by her family.
Born Nov. 16, 1935, in Walnut Cove, Stokes County, she was a daughter of Arba and Blanche Tuttle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James K. (Ken) Gordon Sr.

Joyce and Ken raised their children in Winston-Salem before retiring to their beloved Ocracoke Island in 2003.
She is survived by four children, Debi Servidio, Cindy Carpenter (Richard), Ken Gordon Jr. (Christie) and Lisa Loos (Steve); 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Janet Coggins of Greensboro, sister-in-law, Jean Lord of Winston-Salem, and numerous nieces and nephews.
