Ocracoke will participate in the National “Hands Off” protest march starting at the Island Inn Commons at noon on Saturday, April 5.
The event is to protest what you would like the Administration to take their “HANDS OFF” of by creating your own sign or flag and march for democracy, said islander Mickey Baker, Ocracoke Democrat Precinct Chair.
“I’d like everyone to carry a sign,” she said. “The Cape Hatteras National Seashore, including Ocracoke Island, is managed by the National Park Service. We say “HANDS OFF” of our NPS Campground, our Lifeguard Beach, our access to South Point and general safety, both for tourists and wildlife that the Park Rangers supply.
“All are a concern for our local community. Our Social Security recipients and our school.”

Serious question – what specifically is being done by the administration that affects all the NPS things such as listed in the article?

Gotcha. Doesn’t seem to quite line up with the bullet point list above though. What did those six people do who were let go? How many people are employed by the “Outer Banks Group”? 60? 600? Minor inconvenience or major problem?
The NPS is not telling us who the folks are who were let go or their jobs.

Our freedom for the states to produce laws, institutions and practices – The feds are prohibited from assuming any power and authority not expressed in the Constitution
