1718 Brewing Ocracoke was packed Thursday night as islanders and visitors flexed their pumpkin-carving creativity muscles in the brewery’s annual Pumpkin Carving Contest.

At least 63 pumpkins are on display at the brewery and anyone can go view them today (Oc.t 31) and Saturday (Nov. 1) and vote for their favorites in this peoples choice judging.

Jacqui Kalna, co-owner of the brewery, said the first, second and third-place winners will be announced Saturday.

The crowd of adults and children carved away as Brooke & Nick provided live music.
