Ocracoke Preservation Society’s Fall Membership meeting 6 pm in the Ocracoke Community Center. Everyone, members and non-members, is encouraged to come out and enjoy a potluck meal (bring a dish! starting at 5:30 p.m.), followed by a meeting, a special presentation by  Bevin Hardy, “The Village is Stable: Insights from Interviews with residents on Ocracoke.”  Then the 2025 Historic Home/Structure Award to the Thadeus Gaskins House, also known as the Senseney House, and the 2025 Cultural Heritage Award to Candy Gaskill.
