The National Weather Service is forecasting marginal risk for severe thunderstorms for the region starting at 4 p.m. today (Sept. 4) and Saturday, Sept. 5, along with a continued heat advisory.

The highest likelihood of storms is across N.C. Highway 64. Damaging winds will be the main threat with these storms. Have multiple ways to get warnings.
