OPS art
Piece No. 54. Seascape, by Cheryl Despo (island resident, artist, jewler), mixed media, is among the dozens of works for sale Saturday at the OPS fundraising art auction.

Ocracoke Preservation Society has been collecting dozens of small canvases of art for their art auction fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 24) in the museum at 49 Water Plant Rd.

These original small works–almost all pieces are 6” x 8” canvases–are by islanders and other artist friends of Ocracoke.

For those not able to attend in person, online bidding is going on again this year and will be accepted until noon on Saturday via email: admin@ocracokepreservation.org.

Make sure to include the canvas number, name, artist, bid amount and your contact information. Minimum bid is $10 except for the 3 piece canvas set #25 by Jane Griffin with a $30 minimum bid.

Visit the Ocracoke Preservation Society Facebook page for online bidding details.
