Daylight savings time begins Sunday, March 8. When you spring your clock settings forward please take the time to check your smoke detectors and change the batteries.
If you have battery powered carbon monoxide detectors now would be a good time to also check them. The Ocracoke Volunteer Fire Department would like to remind you that a problem detected early can save lives and property.
