The Hyde County Commissioners’ monthly meeting that was supposed to be held tonight in the Ocracoke School Commons Room was postponed until next Monday, May 8, because of technical difficulties with the teleconferencing equipment.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Community Center. This is the usual time for the commissioners’ meetings, which are held the first Monday of the month in the Hyde County Government Center multi-use room in Swan Quarter and televised on Ocracoke.
On the agenda will be a discussion of the Occupancy Tax and Hyde County Manager Bill Rich’s 2017-2018 budget presentation.

Prior to the commissioners’ meeting, the Hyde County Board of Equalization & Review will meet at 5 p.m. to review disputes to the recent property tax revaluation.
