Hyde County is asking all individuals and businesses that have filed claims with the county to be submitted to PCL for updated information.
Originally, Hyde County asked for all loss information to be dated from July 27 to August 6, 2017. As predicted, many businesses have reported that tourism numbers have been slow to recover. At this time, Hyde County is asking businesses and individuals to update their loss information with an end date of August 31, 2017.
This will be a cumulative loss from July 27 to Aug. 31. New forms can be accessed at http://www.hydecountync.gov in the “Ocracoke PCL Claim Info” in the menu on the left side and returned to rjohnson@hydecountync.gov, or faxed to 252.926.3701.
Hyde County has submitted all damages received to PCL’s claim team as of August 25, 2017. PCL’s claim team has informed Hyde County that they can not legally contact businesses or individuals that are working with legal counsel to file suit against PCL.
