The Salem Select Choir has rescheduled workshops for Ocracoke students this week and a free community concert for 7 p.m. Saturday (May 12) in the Deepwater Theater.

Under the direction of Lynne German, this show choir is a small group of economically, socially and ethnically diverse students from Salem High School in Virginia Beach.

Joined together by their common love of singing, as the program’s top singers, they have auditioned for their spot in the select choir.

Their music covers a variety of genres, from classical to spiritual to light pop and rock, with a few original works by German.
