Monday, June 11
Ocracoke Preservation Society museum tour, 49 Water Plant Road, 1 pm
Tourism Development Authority, WOVV offices, 3 pm. Agenda: Finalize contract with OCBA
Ocracoke Bar & Grille: Kate McNally, 7 pm
Gaffer’s: Gaffer’s: Poker, 7 pm; Barefoot Wade, 9 pm
Ocracoke Community Center: “A Tale of Blackbeard,” 8 pm. to be assured of a seat, reserve online at ocracokealive.org, or call 252-921-0260. If tickets are left, they will be sold to walk-ups.

Monday:
Crabbing, 8:30 am
You bring the bait—raw chicken or fish parts work best. Limited to 12. Pre-registration required at the visitor center by 5pm the day before the program. (90 minutes)
Pirates, 1pm
Yes, they were here. Learn about Blackbeard and others. Meet at the benches by the Visitor Center. (30 minutes)
 Barrier Island Nature, 3 pm
Join a Ranger for a talk about the wild side of Ocracoke. Meet at the benches by the Visitor Center. (30 minutes)
Ocracoke after Dark, 8:30 pm
Explore the night sky with a ranger. Bring bug spray. Meet at the Ocracoke Day Use Area. (1 hour)

Tuesday:
Cast Netting, 8:30 am
Practice this early method of fishing still used today. Limited to 12 participants. Pre-registration required at the visitor center by 5 p.m. the day before the program. (90 minutes)
Ocracoke History, 2:30 pm
Learn about the island’s rich past. Meet at the benches by the Visitor Center. (30 minutes)

Wednesday:

Banker Ponies, 10:30 am
Meet the ponies unique to Ocracoke. Bring bug spray. Meet at the Pony Pen. (20 minutes)
Barrier Island Nature, 2:30 pm
Join a ranger for a talk about the wild side of Ocracoke. Meet at the benches by the Visitor Center. (30 minutes)

Friday:
Outer Banks Bird Walk, 8:30 am
Morning bird walk. Binoculars are available. Bring bug spray. Meet at the Hatteras Ferry Parking Lot on north end of island. (90 minutes)
