Day four post-Hurricane Dorian.

The island is still reeling from this historic weather event. There are multiple ways in which monetary donations can be sent to assist disaster relief on Ocracoke.

You can donate online to the Outer Banks Community Foundation and indicate how you would like your funds allocated: either to Hyde County, Dare County, or a 50/50 Split. Click on the following link if that is your preferred method https://www.obcf.org/donate-now/disaster-relief-fund-donate/

Or, you can donate to either of the churches on Ocracoke by writing a check and sending it to the following places:

Ocracoke United Methodist Church
P.O. Box 278
Ocracoke, NC 27960

Ocracoke Lifesaving Church
P.O. Box 68
Ocracoke, NC 27960

  1. A question I have and one asked by several others: Since Post Office closed, how will donations reach the churches listed by their Ocracoke PO Box?

    Thanks, and hang in there…
