The Hyde County Board of Commissioners will convene an emergency meeting at 8 a.m. today (Wednesday, March 18) to discuss potential precautions in regard to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting will take place in the Hyde County Government Center and the Ocracoke Community Center.
Due to the current CDC directives limiting social gatherings, the county is recommending that citizens do not attend in person.
They will distribute a press release detailing all action taken at the meeting as soon as possible following its conclusion.
