The following is from the Ocracoke Health Center
The Ocracoke Health Center announced today that all Ocracoke COVID-19 testing and vaccine appointments should use the COVID phone number: 252- 489-3622.
Leave a message with your name, date of birth, and phone number. Someone will call you back.
Multiple messages will delay callback times. Advanced registration and an appointment will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Ocracoke Health Center.
We are currently vaccinating all patients 65 years and older and health care workers and frontline essential workers as defined by the CDC.
The CDC defines frontline essential workers as first responders (e.g., firefighters and police officers), corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, U.S. Postal Service workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, and those who work in the education sector (teachers and support staff members) as well as childcare workers.
If you fit the description above, please fill out and submit the form on our website and a health center staff member will call you back with a vaccine appointment time and date as vaccine is available.
If you respond yes on the form and do not have a date of birth that indicates you are 65 years of age or older or fit into one of the qualifying groups defined above, please wait until you are eligible. https://ocracokehealthcenter.org/covid-19-vaccine-registration-request-form/
