Plein air artists from Down East will once again visit Ocracoke the week of Oct. 16 and will be seen all over the island painting various scenes.

Plein air means “outdoors” in French.

“I’m excited to once again have the opportunity to capture the unspoiled beauty of Ocracoke,” said Ann Hair, one of the artists.

At the close of the week, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, Hair, Karen Crenshaw, Barbara Bear Jamison and Gale Smith will have a show and sale of their work at the house on Silver Lake Drive and Creek Road.

All are welcome to attend.
