    • We tried some other things this year and had a costume contest Friday night (Oct. 27) and a full slate of activities on Saturday (Oct. 28). We might bring those back next year.

      • What about the parade for the kids in the am and the adult funchan at night. We attempted to go to the party and there was just a lot of drinking. Your paper reported no parade for the kids for Halloween eather nothing for Halloween ?? The reason we have come to Ocracoke since 1989is is the small town atmosphere. Sadly it seems that is going away. The progressive movement has taken over. Whats next a gay pride parade around Silver lake.
