The Ocracoke Dolphins basketball teams will vie against the Camden Bruins today in the school gym.

The first game with the Lady Dolphins begins at 4 p.m., and the boys follow at approximately 5:30 p.m.

In addition, the teams’ seniors will be honored, and there will be a Mexican food/bake sale beginning at 3:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, the boys  beat the Manteo Redskins  66-61 in an away game. This was their second consecutive victory against a team they had never beaten before.  The Lady Dolphins lost their game, 52-48.

Due to the poor road conditions owing to Sunday’s storm, to play the game in Manteo the teams had to spend the night in the area.

Principal Walt Padgett noted that the First Colony Inn in Nags Head opened their doors, and the team, coaches and family members stayed for free.

Padgett expressed his thanks on behalf of the school community.
