The National Weather Service out of Newport/Morehead City is reporting another round of heavy rainfall is expected Saturday across eastern North Carolina with widespread amounts of 1 to 2 inches anticipated. Pockets of 4 inches or more are possible with isolated thunderstorms.

Therefore, there is a localized flash flooding threat for much of the region.

In addition to flooding, a few stronger storms could produce isolated damaging wind gusts.
